If you are bidding on a "Busse Folder" on that aUction sIte... Retract your bid. State the reason for your retraction is that the item is not what is advertised.

(ePrey pulled the auction on this one. :thumbup:)

THIS FOLDER below...

...IS NOT a BUSSE FOLDER. It is a Chinese made folder with Busse logos never before used on Busse knives. The logos are obviously being used without permission, and this folder has nothing to do with Busse Combat...

With currently 21 bids on this one, I just want to make sure that everyone here is completely aware that this is not real just in case that aUction sIte drags their feet on removing the listing.

I saw that a couple of days ago and laughed. I reported it to site but I never heard anything back.
 
I reported it a little while ago, but since I've noticed a lot of new folks around lately, I felt it worth restating as a PSA thread just in case some folks didn't know yet. Hopefully, some of the 21 bidders view this forum and can still get out of their bids.

I fear seeing someone posting about his or her lucky score here (or anywhere actually)...and having to be the one to break the bad news that he/she bought a fake Busse...

Looks like it has been pulled now. I guess they finally got enough people that reported it to take action.

No, no, no, I emailed the seller of that auction and a gentleman by the name of Busse Chow said he made the knife. So, yeah, it's a genuine Chinese Busse Chow Folder.

Look, he even says he is honest and reliable:

"Thank you for taking the time to look at my products.i will always be honest and reliable.all parcel is free shipping by hongkong post.if you have any questions please contact us.
we strive for excellence.Some countries can't buy the item if choose the hongkong post shipping, then you can select the EMS,but don't pay,
will change the price for hongkong shipping, thanks. -Busse Chow"

ooohh this is like a good movie TWIST. However it seems like the seller should be much more clear with their product.
 
I emailed him a couple of days ago.

Me: Why are you selling crap like this? Copyright infringement isn't cool.

Him:What are you even talking about? We are a pawn shop and buy and sell items.

Me:Busse is a knife company but this is not a busse knife. Their logo is the boar head on that blade yet this isn't a busse knife. Every couple of months someone tries to sell one of these knives on eBay and it usually gets taken down.

Him:I have been told this is authentic and already responding to another message and will pass it on to my boss.

Me:Well you are either lying or misinformed. Busse doesn't even make a folding knife. Only fixed blades. The blade design is a copy of their "mud razor" knife, only the real one doesn't fold. Plus they stole the name and logo. Feel free to contact Busse Combat for further verification. I'll be sending them a link to the auction.


Pawn shops know to do research before buying stuff. I can't imagine a pawn shop would actually believe this is a real Busse knife. I see plenty of nice looking blades on craigslist but before I buy, I look up all that I can about the maker. If I can't find much, I pass. Somehow I'm to believe this pawn shop bought this blade without looking into?
 
I wonder why anyone can trust any knife to be the real deal if you are dealing with Ebay. as many fake knifes that I see being reported that are being sold on Ebay why go there in the first place??
 
Because there are some very reputable dealers that regularly sell Busse blades on there. Some are members here.
