I picked up this PSD Pod last week &
couldn't be more stoked. It's absolutely perfectly machined. The only thing is it is really polished! My experience with Ti is it shows scratches so I decided to give stone washing not a try! While I was at it I decided to subdue the overall finish and tone down the blue anodizing on the logo. I really like the turnout!

This is what I started with. I was not happy with the results so I switched to marbles which was better but not great. I decided to try the rocks again but in a ziplock bag. This worked really well and pretty fast! I just kneaded the bag of rocks making sure I did it evenly. Then I polished it a bit with a towel.

Viola! I used the Oxiclean method to do a forced oxidation... essentially a grey/bronze anodize. I like the way it turned out but I may d!ck with it some more.

Hopefully the pics are OK. iPhone pics. The lighting is all over the place but I just thought itd be neat to document the little project and share how easy it is!

Looks really great, I hope the finish holds up and wears well. What I recommend with these containers is what I call 'coin washing'. This means you carry it in a pocket with change, keys, whatever, then over time it gets a nice weathered look but it takes a while. I am starting a run some larger ones in a few weeks.

It looks nice, but I think it's a shame to lose that blue anodized logo. I'd like to see one with a bead blasted finish and the anodised logo intact. I think it would look pretty striking.
