PSK Blaze Orange Scales and Custom Beaver Tail Sheath

Been awhile since I posted here, wanted to post a few pics of my PSK. I purchased this from Scott about a year ago as a plain jane PSK. I ended up putting some blaze orange G10 scales on and made a nice belt sheath for it. This is my first time using beaver tail and I am very happy with the end results. It was very easy to work with and will definitely use it again. Hope you all like it and please comments and critiques are always welcome.




 
You did an excellent job. That sheath turned out really nice.

Do you buy beaver tail already tanned ready to use or do you tan it yourself. Reason I ask is I started trapping last winter for the first time, and a friend that's letting me use some of his equipment caught four beavers. I'm going to see what he has been doing with the tails and maybe try to tan some.
 
Really nice work, esp the sheath! I've never seen anything quite like it before.
