These are small no frills personal survival kit knives I've been making that are pretty handy for such a small knife. They are O1 steel, 1/8" thick, 1" wide and 6" overall with a full thin convex grind. There are four holes for cord wrapping the handle. I went outside and took an old coffee can that might be found on the trail and cut a section out to use as a canned heat stove. The knife flew through the can and went on to whittle shavings for tinder and sharpen stakes for holding down a shelter cover. Cutting the can took away the shaving sharpness but it was still sharp enough to "get the job done". These are fun little knives to make. O1 is a great steel.

Scott, that is a nice small-knife design....straightforward, clean, and mighty handy looking!

Is it one of your full-convex grinds or hollow-ground as it appears to my eyes? TIA.

I love smaller fixed blade knives like that , compact cutting power ! One could carry a few since they are so small :)
Nice little job there Mr. Razorback and thank you for not calling it a neck knife heheh that name gets overused nowadays IMO. :D

Thanks. It's a full convex grind. The shadow makes it look hollow. I got it ground thinnly.

Nice one, Scott! Let me know when you're ready to sell some!
I've gone through about 9 foot of O1, sold 18 so far. I'll have some more made in the next couple of weeks.:)

Scott, how does it compare size wise to the Becker Necker? You've got a very nice looking piece there.

Honestly Bob, I never seen or handled a Becker Necker.:o I can tell you the PSK knife's total length is 6".

Thanks Scott. I really like your knives. I've been drooling over them for a while now. Maybe I can do more than drool one of these days!

Thanks Bob, I appreciate the compliment.;) BTW, I'm going to send one of these to Normark/Eric and he's going to set it up with one of his kydex carry systems. He's the man when it comes to kydex sheathing.

I just received my PSK from Scott and have to say that I can't wait to put it through it's paces. I did the handle and I am brain storming on a way to cary it as a neck knife every day. Here is a picture of the way I did the handle.

Any chance of real scales as an option? I can't stand paracord handles because they aren't all that tough and are totally unsanitary.

Ron that cord wrap looks great. Nice job.
Boats, I make a similar piece with handles scales called the Boartooth. It costs more then the PSK knife. I came up with the PSK knife as an affordable knife for people's kits. Alot of people have just been using the knife plain as is.
Below is a pic of the Boartooth. It comes with a sheath where the PSK knife does not. The PSK is sold blade only.

This PSK knife is quite nice. I now have a couple (or three :D) and have been quite pleased. The holes are in all the appropriate places, but I like it without any wrapping. As soon as Normark is done with his vacation, I'm going to put some pants on them.

They are smaller blade-wise than the Becker Necker, 3 fingers on the handle, and I have medium hands. That's about what I wanted from a small knife. This could be a necker, or a notebook/briefcase/pocket knife. I'm going to change the grind on one to a thin flat grind so that I can compare it to the convex grind.

So far, it's served me well, in a very nice package. Nice and small, with all the strength of a fixed blade. Exactly what I wanted.

Are there not any prices here, or did I miss them?
