Scott,
My father was up to visit and took a shine to my A2 PSK-. Was thinking on ordering him one for Christmas. What would be the most significant difference b/t A2 and D2 steels in a knife that size? And approx. cost of standard psk in D2 cord wrapped?

The D2 steel will be more resistant to rust. A2 is tougher. Both hold an edge well. D2 may be a bit harder to sharpen although with diamond abrasives you won't see much difference. A cord wrapped PSK knife with kydex sheath is $85.00 in A2, $95.00 in D2 plus shipping.
