A shot review of the Princeton Tec Quad Tactical: http://jerkingthetrigger.wordpress.com/2010/03/18/review-princeton-tec-quad-tactical/
I have been using a Princeton Tec Quad Tactical for a few months now and it quickly becoming one of my favorite lights ever! It's biggest downside is that it called the Quad TACTICAL - never has there been a more over used word (except maybe "bushcraft". The low mode could be lower but I have that problem with every light on the market. I wish manufacturers would give us truly low output modes.
I have really come to appreciate the "floody" output when setting up camp. It really lights up your whole work space or an entire map. Even though the beam profile is quite wide, it has surprising reach when you drop the filter and turn it on high. High mode is impressive on the trails, though low mode is usually all that is needed.
For me, this is about as close to perfect as I have found for a headlamp. But I can't help but think that the extra throw of the PT EOS Tactical might make it a bit better for the trail. Has anyone tried the PT EOS Tactical?
