ptarmigan vs. scalpel II vs. caper vs. fingerling

so, i've narrowed it down to these 4 for a new edc

fingerling and caper are 50-100B

and the scalpel II and ptarmigan are 52-100

oal length from greatest (7.5") to smallest (6.5")
are ptarmigan, fingerling, scalpel II, caper

right now i'm leaning towards the scalpel II because of the grip design and steel; but, i can't make up my mind on any of these medium small barkies.

so, any and all help in this decision making process is welcome.

While all of the knives that you have mentioned will probably cut most anything that you want, the Pro Scalpel II has a blade design that is more suited to handling a variety of tasks which makes it a better EDC knife. Having said that, if your primary tasks will be game preparation, then one of the other three would probably be a better choice. But, if you want a general purpose knife for a variety of tasks, the Pro Scalpel II is the way to go.
