On 08-29-13 a member of this community posted a thread that I am sure you are all familiar with by now. The post was titled: I have some serious CRK history and rare pieces.... of course everyone who viewed the post wanted more information and of course pictures of the "rare pieces of CRK History". In an effort to keep the thread going many of us posted questions and comments, some of which were not, shall we be politically correct and say "Kind". I was one of the doubters and helped to continue the thread. I have apologized to the posting member Brendtech189 and am doing so now to the rest of the BF community. Brendtech189 was finally able to post pictures of his collection last night and it is everything he claimed it to be!! (IMHO) If any of you have had the misfortune to read some of my posts I often end with a quote from John Wayne. One of my favorite John Wayne quotes is I believe from the movie "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" circa 1949. "Never apologize, its a sign of weakness" Well pilgrims, I guess he wasn't right all the time....
So, I apologize to Brendtech189 and to the entire community for being not just impatient but a naysayer to boot. If you have not yet had the opportunity to check out his post and the wonderful pictures of some truly amazing knives please do.

Sincerely,
mikepapa1

Being on forums you see a lot of that. Op disappears after making a claim and then the comments start, dog piling often occurs, and it can get out of hand. I didn't really see any ill will in the thread. Just joking and proding. I know that I would have had some feelings of satisfaction if I were the op and was able to eventually prove my claims. In any case, both of you (yourself and the op) have handled yourselves well. Very much in line with what I've come to expect from the people in this particular sub-forum. ;)

Bravo!

Thanks for the kind words!! I know we often get inpatient, especially in anticipation of seeing something as nice as the knives Brendtech189 claimed to have. But we must admit when we are wrong and boy was I!! :)

Thanks a lot Mike, it means a lot. I agree that it took me a while to get all the pics up and I still have to get up pics of the experimental blade and letter from Anne but you know how life is and we just get busy. Im working and studting for my Master's so time is not on my side but I appreciate the kinds words. Hell, I's probably say the same if someone claimed this great collection and never delivered. No hard feelings at all and in the future I will have pics ready to post before I even think of posting anything regarding a knife or knives in particular. Thanks and take care.

I've known brendtech for over a year now, we've sold a few knives to each other and he's a stand up guy.
It makes me happy to see that he was finally able to post pics and show off some of his collection, not just for his satisfaction but for all of us as well. I'm also glad to see that everybody involved treated each other well in the end, the CRK forum is a quality place to hang out.

If you really want to get him talking ask him about Walter Brend knives, he's an encyclopedia!
He may be a very bust guy but he can write an essay of an email in moments, be prepared ;D

By the way, the knives look great Bro, let's see the last one.

Thanks Abe, you were nice enough to help get me into them and help me on my way and were always there for my seemingly endless questions and I greatly appreciate that. The last knife has been posted for all of your viewing pleasure and please enjoy. Take care.

Very classy, mikepapa1. I will be honest, I thought he was exaggerating, uh, greatly, shall we say. I was dead wrong too. That experimental Sebenza with the satin flats, and stonewash hollows was worth the wait alone. Very nice, Brendtech189. Very nice.

Thanks for the kind words to all!! And especially to Brendguy189!! I think that we sometimes forget that we all have real lives to live with real things going on.. and we cant always take time out just to answer questions or post pictures for dummy's like me.
And 1AbominAble1 you are absolutely right about this forum!! I enjoy it more every day!!
Best regards to all!!

Always my pleasure my friend, just trying to help those I can when I can just like Blackend helped get me started with my CRK addiction.
Now I'm off to see that experimental blade and drool a little.

Thanks rnbtexas, when you're wrong your wrong! Best thing to do is admit it and move on. Man was I wrong!!:)
