These are my latest acquisitions thanks to or web man Nic and ColeThornton. Nic did the wrap on the handle and it is d4mn good, I like it. This is the Busse Beater that he had advertised. It arrived in trainer from with blunt edge and funked up coating. The coating adds to it's personality. The edge was another issue. I called the shop and they said that they would take care if it, but most likely after blade. I waited as long as I could. I took it to the garage and took the edge to the grinder myself. I think I did alright for a first timer, then it was off for the stone rotation on the edge pro. There are two spots that I got to much of and it may show in the pics, but I love it! It now begs to be used.
The PD came thanks to Cole. I have never had a PD and was not sure how I would like it, but it has become one of my favorites. The egde was too thick for what I had in mind, so, if you guessed the edge pro was in it's future, you'd be right. I kind of got rid of the tanto edge and took the bevel uniform from the tip on back. Looks good.
I just finished the DGM tonight and the PD a few daya ago. The PD can whittle punge sticks like nobody's business. I knocked out a few from a nieghbors downed tree limb while waiting on the wife to get home so we could go out to dinner. Gives the neighbor's something to talk about
