Thought maybe it would be neat to find out how many members have had a knife they own published, in print or the web. I mean a knife you actually own/owned, not just the same maker and model. This does not include posting your own knife on the web, must be an impartial source(ie. any knife publication you don't own). Makers are free to jump in as well.

I'll start: BladesInternational

Mine is the first knife pictured in the article, made by Eric Elson.

Who's next?

WYRM,
I own the Jess Horn knife engraved by Gary Blanchard that appears on page 82 of Weyer's Knives:Points of interest book III. The pride of my collection.
Good Collecting !

Knives Illustrated and Blade Magazine. Maybe more. This set isn't quite completed. The full set with case might be at Blade Show West this month. All credit is due to Ed Fowler and Joe Szilaski.

I have had a few of my own knives in Tactical Knives and have owned a bunch that were in TK and Fighting knives. A friend of mine has an older Caffrey that is pictured in a Fighting Knives issue.

Have had a number over last few years - DDR Scorpion got near full-page picture in Blade mag. article on DDR by Dexter - can't remember which issue offhand.

Latest is in the current Tactical Knives mag - Chuck Karwin has a review of my DDR auto Stilleto in it - color pic shows off Juniper Burl scales well - DDR did such an awesome job on this knife - one of highlights of my collection.

I've had a few of my neck knives pictured in the Knives 2002 article I did on neck knives. In the same issue of Blade Bill speaks of (April 2001) I've had my 4" DDR EDC pictured. And I've had my Carson M16A1 pictured in another of my articles. In an issue of Guns Magazine earlier this year in their article about Rob Simonich, my boron carbide coated Pikuni II was pictured front-and-center.

I cheat a bit. Just for the fun of it, I submit photo's of every knife I get to the magazines. So far I'm batting 1000. The good news is, I keep the magazines so that who ever ends up with the knife in the future will at least know a bit about it. The bad news is, they will have to wait until I'm gone and they will get a well used knife.

I own a one-of-a-kind custom knife made by the late Glen Hornby, shown on page 212, at TOP of the page, "The Gun Digest Book Of Knives," 2nd Edition, published 1982. I bought it from Hornby in 1982, and I have never used this beautiful knife. Love to look at it.

This post might be so old, that no one will ever answer this.
Leanwolf, did you know Glen Hornby? or simply buy one of his knives? I have one of his knives....I guess I would describe it as a drop point hunter.....about a 6 1/2 inch blade with a African stag horn scale handles. I wish I would have bought more of his knives, because he was my uncle, but I was a kid back then. I saved for a while to buy the one I got from him. Never used it. My dad got a larger fighter/bowie style as well, and my brother has a small skinner

Hey Guys...

I actually have two knives that are published..

One is one of Jeff Diotte's Humbacks..

The other is my new Victorinox VXAT which is in an upcoming copy of Tactical Knives I believe...

I own a large CRK Regular Sebenza, Lisa's Pick for April 2006. In the DVD "The Exquisite Blade" The Legend of Chris Reeve Knives", this particular knife scale is shown in the movie being held by Lisa. It's a movie star!

It is the large Regular Seb at the top in the pic.

OK, let's bring this one back to life then! :) Just off the top of my pointy head...a Rick Hinderer in BLADE a few years ago and a Don Morrow Trapper in one of David Darom's books.
