I know most are probably familiar with his work, but the sheath Dwayne did for my 15-inch AK just arrived, and I wanted to put in a good word for him for those who may not be.
It's a lefty to be worn on a cartridge belt opposite a handgun, the "quickdraw" style, with the handle riding above the body of the sheath so it lessens the tendency to flop around against my leg like many larger knives can in a low-rider sheath, and it has one retaining snapstrap that wraps around the forward edge of the sheath (or the spine of the khukri). With the strap pointing to the rear, I can reach for the khukri, flick off the snapstrap with a finger, and draw the khukri up & forward quickly & easily. The goal wasn't so much for speed, but easy access one-handed. Sheathing it is also one-handed. Seating the blade mostly straight down guides it into the "channel" while pushing the strap out of the way with the spine. I dislike sheaths that require you to use one hand to hold the retaining strap out of the way to avoid cutting it while drawing or seating the knife with the other.
I imagine it's pretty similar to the ones Terry Sisco makes/made, and I did try him first since I'd seen it on his website & knew he did them. But, he's not taking new orders right now, and I'm perfectly satisfied with what Dwayne did for me.
Just an FYI for those who may not be familiar with Dwayne's work.
I'll be having him do more for me.
