Pulaski Axe Handled!!! - Picture Heavy

So went to lows for a few things today. Came across the Axe handles section. Didn't have much, did have some nice Ames 36" ones. All in the good category, I picked the best one, also took the best wedge from the lot (shhh)

The eye shape was real close to being true as well. Made for short work shaping.

After the third fitting, trued up. After I get to sanding this the shoulders will meet the head.

After working on a few fires I'd say that tool in combination with a hatchet or a machete will do an amazing amount of work. Nothing beats having a good sawyer, air support and a dozer crew though.
