Ok so this is gonna sound reeaalllyyyyy stupid but...Is there any advantage/disadvantage to having pins through the handle?

I'm pretty green when it comes to traditionals so I really don't know. :o

I'm going all out on this one as I will mainly rotate it with one other blade for EDC. I'm going with a S30V blade, brass bolsters, finger grooves and sambar stag handles. I'm also having a sheath made for it with a deep carry pocket clip so I can tote it around as easily as a modern folder.

Thanks for the help!

I asked the same question and the answer is no, I have two customs one with pins and one without. Some of the handle options look better without to me.

Thank you! Yeah the stag looks way better without so I was hoping that was the answer.

I am kinda funny about the pin thing, I like them on wood ok! but on the Horn handles, no way. I have a smooth asian water buffalo horn without pins, but I have a cherry wood with pins.

I don't like the pins anywhere. If I had the choice to hide them, I would do it. On any handle.
