I'm looking for some pull on dress boots with rubber soles (doesn't have to be thick, I'm mainly looking for noise control when walking). I admittedly have no idea where to start. I wear jeans and boots every day, and sometimes sneakers on my one day off. I would like a pair I can wear to interviews, meetings, and corporate office environment. Black or dark brown would be my preference. All suggestions welcome, those are literally my only parameters at this point. I know there are some huge shoe guys on this site, please help!

I would like to keep it around a couple hundred bucks (or less, of course). I don't think I'll wear them often enough in the rotation to justify spending more than that right now.

I've had a hard time since I got my first.custom built boots by wesco. Nothing else compares, not even close for comfort. Worth every penny n they last for yrs n yrs. Check out wesco boots.com
You can choose whatever sole you want.

Redback boots makes a comfy.slip on with a really good.soft sounding n walking rubber sole.

Personally I've found the more your willing to pay the better the results you can get as long as your buying from the right shoemakers. Designer labels rarely if ever equate to quality. Fit is paramount however.

I've just found that when it comes to a dressier boot, I'm lost. thanks for the link, I'll be checking that out. as far as customs, I'll have to do some homework on that and decide if the cost is something I feel is worth it considering the frequency of which I will be wearing them. thanks for your help guys. I do appreciate it. if anyone has any pics to add, feel free!

Tons of pics, but most of mine are more smart casual vs dress. I recommend that you take sometime and look around a bit first.

I think I'll do that. I just needed a little direction. it was similar to a person saying "I'm looking for a good knife" but have never owned anything outside of Walmart specials. I just needed to be pointed the right way. can't wear Kohls Cardboard Specials forever. lol

I get it.

You may also want to checkout Styleforum and the sub forum gentlemens wear. Maybe a bit more than what your willing to spend but there's tons of information there as well.

hey thanks! I never browsed around enough to know that even existed. I'll definitely do some more searching.

What size you wear?

I'm about a 10 or 10.5, depending on wether or not the shoe runs large. normal fitment 10.5.

may not be formal dress, but still a very nice boot. something I don't think would be odd or out of place in an office environment, with the right outfit. I like.

After taking a look if you have any questions please let me know.

I sure will, and I appreciate the help. I didn't have much time yesterday, but I think I'm going to dedicate a little time today to search around while I'm at work [emoji16]

Look at Johnston & Murphy.

Zieg

I just googled and realized they have a Johnston & Murphy store not too far down the road. it would be a good way to see a few in person, and get a feel for different styles. I thank you, sir!
