The danger is, I may a need a fish to try this one on. Playin' hooky, get$ expen$ive.

Now we all know where the trigger is on the BK15, good! Lovely!! :)

I was just toying with the idea of putting out the cash for an open water excursion as I waited for the 15. Hmmmm....

The fishcounts are off-the-hook! El Nino baby! Bring it! :D

Today is delivery day, yea!! :p Oh boy, oh boy!!! :D And I got the hatchet handle I am expecting also, cool.

There's the box.... hmm, hmm, hmm. Get the camera, take it out to the laundry to make a mess. Open the box and lay out the goods, NICE!!! Ah, the paper scabbord... take that off for the proof of purchase photo...

....uh, note to self, this ain't a BK15, you know? ....

... Of course I know it ain't....

...

..... It's a BK17!?!?

Yeah, cool, but...huh.

That sure is a BK17. Well now, that is curious. Ok ... I'm taking a time out to think. Let me see this knife...
Oh wait, this is very cool!

First Production Run & engraved, pretty nice!

I thought I read here that this has happened before. I still want a 15, but this is a cool blade too, no? I may have room for this little guy. It simply is not what I expected....I guess I'll go shopping.....

Very Interesting? That sure isn't a 15 but it is a cool little 17! Congrats on your unexpected 17.

BTW, What does it say on the box?

Very odd indeed. Who did you order it from? Big river or Smokey Mountain?

Well congrats on a new Becker anyway. I hope you get a 15 soon enough to use it on your next fishing trip.

Ha, yea, pretty strange to find the wrong knife in the right box. It came from a store that rhymes with Smokey Mountain Knife Works.

I think I have someones Christmas gift right here. Oh, the fish will be there when I get back on the water. They may not want to bite by then, but oh well. ;)

you may be the first person I have read of that likes the "first production run" engraving. I do dig Ethan's signature, but to me the rest could have been omitted. Anyway, it is a very cool blade, the 17 being my favorite tweener, and I do have an "FPR" 16 still in the box - I haven't mustered up the courage to deep etch the signature, strip, sand off the wording and actually use that saber 16 :p

Hey ZULU................... Sounds like that saber 16 is too much for you to handle. Send it my way my friend!! haha
Just joking man. I still have one untouched in a box. :)
