Well, after quite some time I sold a couple old knive and picked up a BK-7. I had a hard time getting rid of my old Rat-5 and a couple whittlers but they got snapped up quickly. I turned around and bought the BK-7. I looked hard at the BK-9 and the BK-2 but the seven reminded me of my 60's era Ka-Bar my dad gave me when he came back from his third tour of Viet Nam. I used to use that knife a lot, I was just afraid of loosing it or breaking it. So the BK-7 is taking it's place in my BOB. I hated to do it but I can not bear to loose the Ka-Bar.
Now I have two Beckers, the BK-7 and the BK-14. The BK-14 is one that I have to carry everyday. It gets as much use as my Izula was. I realy like the additional blade and the handle. My dad got away with my BK-11 years ago so when the BK-14 became available I pulled the trigger on that one. I am very happy with my two Becker puchases.

Congrats on the BK7. You went from a Rat-5 to BK7 and from an Izula to BK14. Why the switch from Rat/ESEE to Becker?

'Cause of me, of course. He just couldn't stand not being on the same side as Moose. It happens alot, I got used to it in middle school. Skewl, though.

:D

CONGRATS ON THE BECKERS!!! The BK2 is my all time fav, but the Esky is catchin' up quick, real quick. Combo the two of them, whoa!!

Other than that, a BK7 and a BK14 could be the ultimate outdoor combo. I loves ma Beckers, alot.

Post pics, we need to see them, and BOB. We need to do a BOB thread.

I realy liked the Ka-Bar and it has at least a 7" blade on it. Don't get me wrong but I also like the Randal Adveture Training and ESEE stuff. They are tough knives that can handle a lot of different cutting chores. The RAT-5 was something I was not using. It just sat there with my gear not being used. The guy that I let it go to needed a solid knife. I was glad it went to someone that would use it. I thought hard about another ESEE knife but I just couldn't come up with the cash needed. The BK-7 was the best combination of utility and price point. I couldn't no get it. Besides the tip reminded me of my Ka-bar given to me by my dad.

Congrats but but but... Pics?! Where are the pics, man? (Hint: dirty Beckers are cooler than clean ones.)
