Saw it on an On-line store for what I thought was a good price. Can't wait to see it in person!

Thanks. For $40 I couldn't pass on it. I'd seen it locally for $60. Not sure of the validity of the claim, but the description stated that the sheath was kydex. Not sure if it makes a difference really.

Ive been wanting one of those for a long time... I even asked for it for my birthday and my girlfriend bought my a tiny little 1.4" sog. WTF! :) I will get my SOG seal pup sooner or later.. Enjoy!!

It's a good fixed blade for the price. It is the last SOG fixed blade I have purchased and got it when they first came out in a plain edge. It will do what you need to do as far as cutting, batonning, and camp chores go. I find the steel a little thick for slicing, but I can live with it. I always have a SAK or other pocket knife with me anytime I'm in the woods.

I have moved to other fixed blade as of late as opposed to the Seal Pup Elite. I have two sheaths for mine; canvas/nylon and kydex.

My other fixed blade is a Becker/Ka Bar BK2 so this should be a bit thinner.

I haven't purchased the elite but I have the SOG Seal Pup. Mines a nice knife and a good value so I am sure the elite version will be even better. Congrats.
