So after a bunch of posts asking for advice and reading tons of reviews I ordered an ESEE 4 with the Tek-Lok this morning, should be here early next week. Can't wait. The earlier post of "The best knife for the job" REALLY helped as well as many of your responses for advice. Really made made the decision of going with the 4 to compliment my Junglas a no brainer. As much as I was drooling over the 6 it really made no sense to get another big blade. The four is going to be perfect.

Well, that 2 more 4's heading out to the unknown. Calling Howe's Knife Shop this afternoon to have Jim ship a "4" & some Maxpedition stuff to Ohio so I can finish another "bag" for my Jeep. Gotta love that ESEE handle material when it gets into your bloodstream, just no getting away from it . . . :)
Be safe.

Congrats guys. I thought the 4 supply was drying up. It was last time I was shopping for one in plain edge. I was looking for canvas rather that linen Micarta so these might be harder to find.

Congrats on the 4 I too finally put out some loot on a junglas. Everywhere I looked they were out of stock so I used Howes 90 day same as cash to put a deposit on one so when the next shipment came in I would have one at te ready. I look forward to it within the next 2 weeks

Congrats on the 4 - great knife.

Im on the same page as these other geezers, its my favourite fixed blade.

And Jim Howe is a legend... Im based in Singapore and he has shipped me a couple of knives here without any issues. He really knows how to look after his clients.
