Just did my bit for the Canadian economy (I ordered from a domestic store) and finally ordered a Becker Necker! Can't wait to get it. I've admired Becker knives since I first spotted them (When? The late '80s? where? American Survival Guide?). Can't wait to get it.

Congrats! Please let us know how you like it. I just ordered a Necker yesterday and can't wait for it to arive.

LOL! The BK-2, maybe. Otherwise, I liked the old Crewman knife, but as far as I know there are no plans to make it again.

Lawlor - I think I read a few days ago in another thread Ethan saying they were considering a new crewman (is that the bk10?) with KaBar....is there a way to search topics on the forums??

Lawlor - go to Bk10? posted by revolverrodger on 2/27. Ethan posts a comment on 'talks' going on about the crewman...........

Got the necker. Looks great. Thanks Ethan, for such a great design!

My Necker came today also (bet I sound like I'm repeating you LOL!!) and I really like it also. It sure is a great design. Wish the handle was 1/4" longer but I think I can live with it. Am planning to post a review of it in the review forum soon.

Hello Heber,

While I've found the handle a bit short, too, I've found a pretty workable solution: I've used the supplied paracord to wrap the handle, then made a lanyard that features a pretty large knot on it, right below the handle. It looks a bit sloppy, but the set up A) means I'd have more line on hand than if I'd cut it and B) the knot acts as a kind of soft pommel, giving something for the bottom of my hand to get purchase on.

Matt, thanks for the idea. I might try that. Do you have any pictures? Thanks,

Heber

Hello Heber,

Thanks. I'm afraid I don't have a photo of it, and right now I've removed the wrap. Why? Because I realize I had the configuration slightly wrong: the knot on the 'starting' side of the handle's back end was on the inside of my grip. Prolonged handling revealed that it was mildly uncomfortable.

So now the handle is naked. I plan to re-wrap it soon. I'll post a pick when I do.

I'm on my second one. It is a little large for a neck knife but I think it would work great in a Bardic rig. I add the TDI clip to the back of mine and am actually wearing it right now.
