After looking for quite some time, I finally
got a Puma boot knife. (Its in the mail)
I have seen prices all over the place.....
(to over $300.00, and still selling!)
Was happy to get a very nice one, unsharpened,
for under $100.00.
Anyone have any info/history on this model?
Its the later one with the all leather sheath.
Thanks!

I don't know the history of your particular knife, but I know those Puma Soligen knives have some great stag handles, and are very sharp looking knives.

There really isn't a lor of differnece between the ones made in the early 90's to the ones made in the early 60's. The only twe real differences are the sheath and the information etched on the blade. The sheath from the start of production until about 1978 it was a brown leather sheath with greman silver top and bottom and then changed to leather with a belt clip. The ones with the clips came two ways 1978 to 1985 the sheath was pointed on the bottom and after thatthe bottom was rounded.
The blade etch could be on either side but always containd the model number 3573, Rostrie (german for stainless) amd Soligen.
The warranty number is on the upper exposed tang.
If you want anymore information please e-mail me.
