Hi,
Has anybody got a 'Puma alpine hunter'?
It looks pretty tasty but just wondered if they are any good.

My experience with Puma is extremely limited, but here's what I know. They used to be top shelf. They used to use very quality materials and make a very good product. It seems they have switched to cheaper stainless steels, while keeping nice handle materials. I have had one customer in complaining about the lock on his Puma. It basicly turned into a slipjoint.
In their catalog that is in our store, they look pretty bad if you pay close attention. The grinds seem un-uniform and gaps can be seen between handle scales and bolsters.
On the whole, I believe them to be over-priced.

I'm sorry, I don't have any experience with this particular model, but hopefully this has helped some.
