Has anyone ever heard of Puma knives? Any imput on performance for the cost? Thanks-max

Puma knives are premium German knives. My first was a stag handled bowie I got in the late 60's. They are an excellent line of knives, but are a bit on the pricey side for factory knives. If they make one you like, I am sure it will give you excellent service. They also will hold their value, as they are a big name German knife! I wish I still had that bowie, it was the prettiest knife I ever owned. Unfortunately I was 14 when I got it, I scratched it all up trying to sharpen it and broke the tip off throwing it!! I take better care of knives now!!

Max,

Pumas have been around a long time. I've owned several over the years. (either lost them or were stolen). I liked the folders because they always had a "wicked" blade profile. Just bought a small Puma Medici. It has 440A steel and is a beauty. You could do worse, but a Puma is generally a good purchase.

Max - I agree with the others. I have owned several, beginning with my first folder in the 1960's. They have always served me well. I have alway found them to be easy to sharpen and they hold a good edge.
