Should hold up just fine.
The Chinese (along with pretty much any other country) can makes knives that meet the specifications called for iin the contract.
PUMA didn't lower their sandards when they spec'd that knife.
I've never herd anything bad about the Puma SGB by people who actually own one.
There are those who have never held one who will bad mouth it simpy because of where it a made, of course.

I like PUMA so just generally. But a picture of your knife can help (wink, wink...)
I have some Pumas (440C) and I have sharpened some old Pumas for friends (carbon steel with the chrome coating). While I can like the brand, they have some very stupid designs. Like this one :
