I asked in the W&SS section, but wanted to ask here also. I don't double post often so don't penalize me please! My question is (for those of you that don't visit W&SS but may own one) do you think a puma white hunter is a suitable outdoors knife? I hate carrying my machete and this knife feels like it would be a decent chopper for smaller stuff, i don't baton soo. It's an early 90's puma, i think someone dated it as a 92, if anybody knows how to date them the number on the guard is 23981 and on the blade is 11 6375. My grandfather bought it and brought it fishing with him, then passed it on to me because he had no more use for it. It looks like it would be a good knife, but i know nothing of puma build quality, this particular model or the german steel used as far as how it holds up, if i'd end up ruining it using it for chopping and whittling and such in the woods.
