We need to spice this place up a bit. Here is one I lucked into recently. Tony Bose, 3.5 single blade trapper, S-30V, Orange fibermascus, perfect shield...don't know for sure if that would be a federal or a bomb. Hasn't left my pocket since I received it.

That probably would work well for carving pumpkin though I would prefer a fixed blade. Pumpkin carvers should have stiff ,short[3.5" max]slim blades. And it's almost that time of year !!

I was referring to the handle color more than the application of the knife, since it getting near that time of year. Just trying to share a beautiful, practical knife.

But, at the risk of getting off track, I would add that a saw-toothed, thin, narrow blade seems to work best in pumpkins. I've tried straight bladed knives and they don't work as well, and you can't make the curves and changes in direction.

That is the first time that I have seen a T.Bose with that handle material. Thanks for posting it

First time he's used it from what I've been told. Reese has made a few in orange and other colors too. To my surprise, they like the material (untraditional as it is), so there will probably be more, though I also understand that the orange fibermascus is gone for now.

I didn't know anything about Fibermascus so I did a search on the stuff. Quite interesting substance. it is all custom made a piece at a time. Each billet being different from the other. Except for a solid color I would imagine. Cool stuff.
