Pumpkin Carving 101 with Lexi and Pokey. . . . . .

Lexi and I were taking a lunch break when we had this bright idea! Let’s take a couple of knives out back and carve some pumpkins!

Well we did not know Jerry and the boys took the hummer gallivanting through the pumpkin patch, so we could only find one pumpkin that was intact (You missed one, guys!!!:cool:). Here are a couple of pics of our short but sweet chopping session.




I was attempting to remove the TGLB from the pumpkin but was completely unsuccessful :D We had to chop the knife free using an NMFBM. Now the NMFBM is stuck. . . Help? ;) We should have used Bear Cubs like Lora said!

Is that why you two were covered in pumpkin today?! :eek: MBCs would have been a way better idea!! It looks like you had a lot of fun, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Great idea girls :thumbup:

I want to spend my lunch break chopping pumpkins up everyday now! There is just something about how INFI cuts through them like butter....
 
So how does this work? Can you just grab any old knife that takes your fancy and start chopping stuff with it? What happens with a used knife? Do you have to take it home? Can you pick a satin/black canvas MOAB next time please? Maybe we can talk about cutting a deal on it once you've taken it home!

Lexi has a little bit of crazy eyes kickin while she's holding her TGLB. All I keep thinking is her saying "I killed a pumpkin! I killed a pumpkin!" while out of breath. :eek:

I will add this carving in honor of my daughter who is due to give birth on the 23rd (next week :D)

Have to say that you girls look like the main actors in a horror flick.... something like "First It Was Pumpkins" ..... ;)

My local supermarket is actually stocking pumpkin for Halloween (it is not really big at all out here) ... I may just have to buy one now *insert evil maniacal laughter here* !!!!!!

My Goddaugher is staying over tomorrow night (along with her parents) so I see a job for her and a Busse now... ;)
 
Your pumpkin face looks awesome!!!!! It looks like a squinted up roadkill face. Pure abstract art.
 
Nice!!!! My favorite Busse blade/handle combo:D And no it has nothing to do with a love for Halloween, I just love orange and black. This is awesome guys! How about for Christmas you chop down some trees with a MOAB?:thumbup:

We use specialized tools for actual pumpkin carving, but Bussekin sure are fun after Halloween


 
Looks like you had a blast :thumbup::D... i have never tried to carve a pumpkin but i have noticed they are selling them at my local store so i might have a go at it, i will post pics if i do.
