Hello Busse fans. I am a long time lurker and occasional poster by the name of Jon. I have been lusting after Busse blades for several years after not quite being satisfied with other brands. Recently I sold of 40 some blades after realizing I hardly ever used them and didn't care for most of them. I put the money I made to use elsewhere and also to get a combination of blades that I would actually keep and use. I now have a quality folder and my Bussekin combo left. I will add to them on occasion, but I do not want another drawer full of knives that I am not using. I have always been drawn to the orange handled Busse blades and so set my sights on some of them.
I used funds from a competition finish TGLB user I had to help fund a new TGLB with orange/black handshaped G10 scales, and also sent in an AMS I had to the custom shop for work. I got it switched from a double cut finish with black micarta to a satin finish, orange/black hand shaped G10 scales, a thinned out convex edge, and also got a swedge ground on it. I just recently recieved a KDSH from the Swamp Rat custom shop and started putting it to use. The AMS sees regular carry and kitchen use, and will be also be used on fowl I raise and for hunting. The TGLB and KDSH have been used a little on firewood and for cleaning up brush around the farm. Enough talking though, here are a couple pictures. I would love to see some other pumpkin handled Bussekin as well.
