Purchase Advice Needed...Ron Best and Ron Knott

Hello, I have spent the past few years gathering lots of information about folders, but openly admit to knowing nearly nothing about fixed blades.

This integral has recently caught my eye and I am considering it. Ron Best is the maker and Ron Knott is the engraver. I would appreciate any advice about the qualilty of this investment. I am not able to find much information on the maker or the engraver.

Price= approx $1,900
Blade Length: 3 3/4"
Blade Steel: D-2
Overall Length: 8 15/16"
Scale Material: Box Elder Burl Wood

Ron knott posts a lot on the ckd forums. You can see more of his work in the fine embellishment section there. He engraves knives, but is known for his engraving on single action colts. He also makes a few knives. He's from PA and does nice work.

I don't know anything about the knifemaker.
