Purchased Gold - still showing old membership

I purchased the Gold membership a few minutes ago and was able to upload a profile picture. It doesn't show up in any of my past or new posts. Also, it still shows as registered users, rather than gold member. Does it take a while to activate the changes?

Please delete or disregard this thread. It was a setting in permission groups. I figured it out. Sorry.
