I'm kinda new to the world of knife collection, though I've always been interested in them. So I thought, as also kind of my introduction to the forum, I'd post some stuff of mine that I have.

This first one is a buck knife that I purchased about a year ago at a local Wal Mart. I didn't know much about knives, but I knew buck was a good brand, and I liked this one because it looked like it would be good for just general use. I dont hunt, but I'm sure you all agree that you never know when a good knife might come in handy. I dont remember how much it was exactly, i think i paid like 19ish for it.

This second one I just bought today. I wanted an assisted open knife, something a bit larger than the buck. I paid like 15 for it at an army navy store. There are knives I saw there and on this website that are up in the hundreds, so obviously I realize this isn't the highest of quality, but as one of my origional knives it was a decent purchase.

Lemme know what you guys think.

They will make good users and abusers. I think just about everybody on this forum has owned a sub $20 knife at some point. Just be careful of how much you hang around this site, a $10 knife can quickly turn into a knife addiction. ;)

Haha yea, i imagine. I'm already like learning the terms EDC and such, and then thought about what I edc. iPod and cell phone usually, haha, but perhaps that will be changing soon.

Any knife is better than no knife. I don't know how well they will hold up but for a cheap knife the look pretty good. You can never buy a bad knife just a slightly less good one.

Cheap does not always equal shoddy quality. There are plenty of cheap, good knives out there.

Sounds to me like you are going to inherit the sickness: a fest of knife accumulation.

Dont worry, the best part is that knives are better than money!

Go back to Walmart and get the Buck 110.Every knife guy needs at least one.For the money it's the best knife in the world.
