Pure-bred Strider fighter?

Alright, I've been looking for a pure-bred fighter made by the Strider guys. Most of their knives seem to lean more toward the "combat knife" side.

It should be balanced around the index finger region and have a clip-/spear-point blade. No serrations. I'd prefer one with a G-10 handle and a double-edged blade (no daggers), but I'd be happy to settle for a single-edged cordwrapped model if it's balance point and blade shape are right. It has to have a substantial guard. A plain blasted version would be better than a tigerstriped one.

My biggest concern is that it should be readily available over here, that means: an exclusive model may well be unavailable in Germany or at least much more expensive.

Do the BG and/or MT have their balance point where I want it to be? Do their guards keep your hands from sliding into their respective blade, even when subjected to hard use?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

it's hard to get a double sided blade that's not a dagger...
The only double sided bowie I know of is the Ek #6

In all small package, the Strider MV meets all your needs. Many of Mick's custom nightmare's will also work in the role you want, and many of Duane's Trisula ground blades also will fit the bill. Keep in mind that the Strider guys are not big believers in pure "fighting" knives because they find knife "fighting" to be more fantasy than fact. Their Karambits are obviously geared towards the pure anti-personnel role, but require dedicated training and are not for everyone. Most of their blades function well in the military environment and can easily perform duties related to using the knife in an anti-personnel role. The BG is a good "fighter", and the AJAX knives and the MSC derivitatives also function very well in this role. If you can find an Ajax, you'll probably be happy. They have a wide blade, but that was designed specifically to make a big fat wide wound.

Randall #1, does that count as a double edge? (the clip is sharp)

Yep, that counts as a double edge, but it's not a Strider. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll be sure to take a look at the models you suggested!
