I finished this today for a buddy of mine that wanted a skinning knife for the upcoming firearms deer season. I've never made a skinning knife before so I thought I'd give it a try.

Forged to shape from 1084 round bar stock, Curly Maple handle with soldered brass guard and brass pin, double quenched and triple tempered, flat ground with a convex edge, and a little filework on the spine for that 'up close and personal' work.

The sheath is wood-lined and leather covered with a touch of tooling and rope stiching.

It's not as nice as what the 'big boys' do but I think it'll work out OK. This was also the first time I've used this tang stamp; I got it several years ago. :o

I hope y'all like it.......:)
