So I was chatting with the infamous Mr. Mattis yesterday evening, who casually mentioned that he'd seen a koa inlay sebenza on a table at Blade Show West. I immediately said, "DAMN! _Koa_ inlay?"

(Koa is a rare tropical hardwood from Hawaii, where I spent all of my time before turning 17, which is why I started freaking out. Most of the pictures I've found of it don't really do it justice.)

Then he mentioned that he had not picked it up.
Then he suggested that I call up CRK and find out if it was still available.

Evil, evil, evil..

So I wrote today, and the legendarily patient Bridget sent me this picture.

I was this close to picking this baby up. Then, salvation! It's a large. I want a small.

Pretty close call, though. I'm still starting to think to myself, "Wait, maybe you could use a large... it's koa..."

Can someone please buy this thing before I get any worse? Thank you.

That may be the nicest inlay ( excepting the Damascas inlay ) Sebenza I've seen.

Luckily, I don't have the money.

Not to worry. You have been saved. It was a sacrifice but someone had to do it.

When it comes in I'll post pictures on the other thread to keep it alive.

Any guesses as to how long I'll have this one in stock?

Dave, you may have just dodged a silver "Reeve bullet" of temptation there, pard, but what a beautiful bullet! Yikes!

But as you said, it's a large, and I've become a "small" afficianado. *sigh*

I just thought I would tell you that I picked it up looked at it and almost bought it. The Koa sure looked great. I ordered a large bronze pin stripe damacus w/ a Calif. Buckeye Inlay. Then I ordered a Gentleman's Walking Cane out of Macassar Ebony, so I was tapped for the large Koa Sebenza. Also got a chance to talk with Mr.Reeves himself. Nice Guy. This Sebenza thing is I have to admit is very addictive.

Man, for a while there I thought that the famous campground chain had some corporate logo Sebenzas made up for their executives or something. Thought there might have actually been a Sebenza I _didn't_ want. Silly me I was wrong, on both counts.
