Purging files... what to keep???

This is more a G&G topic than a Community topics since it involves paper shredders and so forth.

I am going thru the archives from the past few years and starting to shred stuff that couldn't have an impact if I was audited.

So, the question begs... what paperwork do you keep and what do you shred after the taxes are done?
