This one ships home tomorrow. Wasn't as involved as I remembered after reading the work order.
1) Remove the top horn from the handles and rebevel the edges
2) Jewel the insides
3) Remove the burr from the bottom of the pocket clip
4) Remove the detent ball and etch the sides and clip
5) Anodize the slab sides and the pocket clip bright purple
6) Use 82` drill bit to rebevel the holes in the slabs for some bling after anodizing
7) Reassemble
8) Take some digital pictures.

I think that about covers it.

Thanks for looking

You are welcome my friend. I hope its all you wanted it to be for her.

I should have mentioned that its much more 'purple' in the hand to the naked eye than what shows up in these pictures. It almost looks blue in some shots here and in the hand you don't really see that. Its funny how that can happen at times and I don't know why but trust me. Its purple!

Steve,

I got the knife today, and I am blown away. It is stunning. You can't handle it without saying, "Wow, that's nice!" She's going to LOVE it!!! :D I will take some pics that show the color better sometime. It's currently on its way to Tom Krein for a sharpening. Thanks again!

My wife and her mother said it was just 'yummy!' :D

Glad it got there safe. Tom will fix up the edge and then she'll have to make her a nice carry sheath for her purse for it to keep it from scratching up.
Those are one of the sweetest little frame locks available in productions though. I've never seen but one that had a problem and it was a simple fix.

I just recently picked up a Buck Waimea, interested in seeing the photos after the Krein regrind.:)

Sure you can show me Tom's handy work if you like. Please know I don't do these anodizing jobs anymore though. Just focus on my clips and pry bars now and that's and I've even imposed some limits on those to try to make some effort to keep some time available for myself and my garden and pets most days. Thanks for the blast from the past though. I had no memory of doing that knife. Could have seen it in a forum thread and not even recognized it or that I colored it! Gettin' old I guess but it is funny how things slip the mind after just a little time.

Haha! No problem! I'm actually going to fix up this one I have myself. Just going to bead blast the blade and Ti, chamfer the holes a bit for bling and give the edge a mirror convex.

Kinda going for that uniform Covert Mayo look.

I was referring to Blade Man's post about Tom regrinding the blade, interested in seeing those pics. Guess he posted pics somewhere else. Trying to locate them.

Thanks for getting back to me though, much appreciated

I was wondering why you wanted to post pics here in my forum but now I understand. You didn't realize you were in my forum. I didn't realize you were talking to blademan from a post he made in 2009 because you didn't quote him. No big deal though.
