My fiance wants a purple flashlight that matches her Columbia jacket. She says she would actually carry it in her jacket pocket or purse but I'm having a hard time finding a purple flashlight. Any ideas?

I wish Surefire made a G2 in purple. :(

Maglite used to make a 2 AA in purple.

(if your are not boycotting them)

Yeah, MagLite comes to mind. I know that they have a few lights in purple actually. You can get a single AAA, 2 AAA, 2 AA, and even some of the D cell lights in purple.

I think there were some purple SureFire 6Ps made, I recall seeing one for sale recently at Candlepowerforums. You might want to check to see if the thread is still there.

Great, thanks to all for the info. I was trying to avoid Maglite, I'm looking for something a little brighter. I'm going to check out CPF and the Surefire wine light.

Thanks again for the info, it's much appreciated.

get a purple mag but replace the guts w/ a sandwich from dat2zip

much brighter than stock MM plus it has all the great attributes of an LED

Oh, and if you like LEDs, you could also get an Arc Gray (w/o the anodizing), and have it anodized purple after having it tricked out by the awesome modders at CPF. :D

The sammiches are a good choice, too.

ASP makes a neat little LED light with a built-in clip that is available in purple.

as has been mentioned, there were some purple 6p's made.
doing a google search might yeild something, and if not you might try posting a "wtb" in the cpf bst.

purple mags with a dropin sandwhich are another choice.

winelights are a nice deep purple, as has been mentioned.

well, it guess it looks like i've got nothing else to offer, sorry...

I think I'm going to go with the Purple maglite with the drop-in sandwich. Seems like it would be a decent light and the color is perfect.

Thanks again for all of the info.

Not to hijack, but what's the deal on the sandwiches? Do they drop into a mini Mag and use the same batts, etc? How long do they last? I like the Mag body, it's the guts I can't stand.

Ash

Yes, you just drop it into a MiniMag and use the same batteries. It's all solid-state electronics, so how long it can last is a question for antique flashlight collectors of the distant future to worry about.
