Purple knives?

I was talking to my mother about how I just bought some knives and she mentioned that she wanted one. :eek:I was very surprised because she says I have way to many blah blah. Anyways, she wants a medium sized blade, preferably half serrated but not mandatory. Easy right...nope...she also doesnt like locks that would "cut her fingers off" like liner locks and lock back knives...and she wants it purple..

Ive been looking for some time and still cant find one that fits the bill. Any suggestions? She already has a SAK so thats a no go. I havent seen any purple knives with axis locks so im stumped as what to get her. :confused:I really want to get her one because it would be handy and hopefully shell see that theyre not so scary or bad and whatnot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can get a mini-griptillian, axis-lock with 1/2 serrations in purple.

edit--FYI, it's been discontinued, but you should still be able to find one if you look (E-bay, etc)

The rainbow titanium finish has purple in it. Maybe something with that would do.

No lockbacks makes it difficult. Bladetech has a purple Mouse, and Case has a purple dyed bone Cheetah Cub, but both are lockbacks.
 
If you could talk her into a lockback (that'd be what I'd try and do), you could buy her a Spyderco Endura or Delica with white FRN scales. Then you could remove the scales, paint them purple, put them back on, and give her the knife. I want to get a white FRN Endura and paint the scales orange. I'd love to use that as an EDC.:cool:
 
Custom scales in purpleheart? You could put them on many knives. I personally don't like the stuff, but it might work.

I don't like lockbacks either. You still have a lot of choices with custom scales.

Along with the discontinued mini-grip, there were limited edition 921, 940, and 941 knives in purple from Benchmade. Some still has to have one somewhere (just not me).

Santa Fe Stoneworks can make you up a Kershaw Leek, Spyderco, or Buck knife with gorgeous purple stone. (either sugilite or charoite stone)

Thanks guys! I found a buck 110 with purple scales and a minigrip (i didnt know they had it in purple) and she really liked the mini griptilian because of the light weight. I put in an order and hopefully they have it, if not i might do the painted handle idea.
