Purple Micarta/G10

I recently got a request for a purple handle on some knives. Looking around I've yet to find anywhere that has purple micarta or G10 - I've seen some on ebay from a individual that makes his own. Has anyone used something like this? Or do you know a place that possibly has some in the color purple? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Steve Randall

He runs Shadetree Custom Composites, and is the master of micarta. he has some really cool pattens and such. I have never read any complaints, and it seems that he is able to make whatever you need. I have never used him, but I am sure someone will chime in who has.

There are a lot of really nice stabilized dyed purple woods too.. I personally really like the purple/gold combo of the brass pins with the purple wood. Also blue and green.

Jantz has a synthetic product called Fantasy Marble. One of them is called "purple passion". It's not solid purple though.

Hey Steve,
I had the same problem a little while back. Sweet here on the forum lays up his own phenolics. He sells on ebay. I got some great looking purple and black stuff from him. Check him out!
