Saw a push button Queen on Monday at a local antique shop. Looked like a shield or something similar was missing, because it was just a button lock tip in an indentation in the handle. Any thoughts on this one?

Queen made a toothpick style automatic knife in the 50's before the legislation. They had rough black handles. You see a lot of them that appear to have been made up of parts outside of the factory.

I have one with wood scales. It is just like the copperhead, but with a locking blade. Very nice knife.

I had one of those. It quickly stopped working so I sent it in to Queen for repair. They said they couldn't fix it, the knife was out of production, and they could only send a refund. Too bad, it was a nice little knife.

I'll try to find the advertisement and sale date of mine...

Found it! Here's the 1997 ad from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Not much info, but the picture should tell you if the pawn shop example was complete or not.

Thats the one I saw. Strange that the button for the lock is a pin, and not a shield or something similar to a shield.
