In nevada we cant carry a dirk or dagger concealed. I'm wondering if a push knife like the Tops grim ripper would be legal to carry concealed. The law doesnt specify the number of edges that define a dagger but it doesnt define which portion of the handle the blade protrudes from either. In fact it doesnt give any description of what a dagger is considerd at all. With so much grey area my other question is how could a person get in trouble if its not in the books? Thanks

Just because there is so much grey area you could get into trouble unless you have a lot of money for lawyers.

I'm pretty sure that push knives and push daggers are going to run afoul of all the dagger and dirk regs.

If something is not written specifically in the law judges will often refer to case law (how other judges ruled in similar cases) in making their judgements. And I would assume that weapons laws are written with gray area in order to make it easier, not harder to arrest people on weapons offenses. The lawmakers don't want to have to create a catalogue of every specific item that is illegal, they'd rather paint broad strokes that give the police and judges the ability to use their best judgement in deeming something dangerous.
