push daggers

I have a few cold steel push daggers. Seem well made. I think they would be easy to use for self defense because in the crazyness of an attack you might not beable to think clearly and if you just grabbed the person and punched them in the target areas as fast as you could. That beaing said, 99% of places daggers are illegal. so if I ground one side down would it still be a dagger in a L.E.O.s eyes?

I dont know of anywhere but NewYork that daggers are illegal. While I am shure there are more places with this law. Most states and cities do not define what is illegal in terms of blade shape, but rather length and wether or not its fixed or folder, or how it opens. That said, if you have checked and daggers are illegal where you live unsharpening the blade on one side will not stop you from getting arrested.

I just mean will it still be a dagger if one side is ground off. and that goes for any knife. Will it still be considered a dagger if one side is groung flat?
