Push notifications when using Tapatalk app

Hello. Push notifications are not working properly when using the Tapatalk app with bladeforums. PMs and individual thread subscriptions work as intended but subforums (i.e. The Knife Exchange>For Sale by Individuals>For Sale: Production Folders (Individual)) do not and I have to manually go into the app to get new posts. I found some support threads for Tapatalk saying that it might be that the forum itself does not have the most up to date plugin. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
