I made this using hand tools and scrap materials , mainly to pass the time , but also to see if I could ;) .
The "blade" is made from hardened square section steel , it has no cutting edges.
The handle is made from an unknown (to me) , hard , dense wood that was quite difficult to work.
I still have to make a sheath , but I have not quite decided on how to do this , or what material to use.
Basic , plain and not perfect , but I rather like the way it turned out.

Thanks for looking.

Did you choose to not sharpen it, or is it not sharpenable? Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
This weapon is designed for piercing only , the "blade" , being of square section has sharp corners meeting at 90 degrees , so not optimal for cutting or utility use.
Intended to be carried in deep concealment and only used , (if this is possible under the circumstances) , as an absolute last resort when all else failes.
It will not guarantee survival , nothing will.

Correct me if I'm wrong but outside of oddity and curio collecting there isn't really much a market for these, very few companies make them. they are super illegal, even in states that allow switch blades, and very limited in use, but I guess you can use it for a coup de grâse when hunting

True!

It is kinda neat.

Use it against The Harkonnen or the Emperor's other animals!

Have a great hunt!

I like this very much. How long is the spike?

Thank you.
From the front of the handle to the tip of the point it is 12 Centimeters (or about 4.75 Inches) long , overall length is about 15 Centimeters (or about 6 Inches).
Too long for concealed carry in Colorado, but that's and easy fix. Well done!

Looks well done!

However, this form is widely viewed as a "deadly weapon" in many jurisdictions. Carrying one on your person in public may be a serious crime. It may even be illegal to own or possess in many places.

Well done! It's actually closer in spirit to the earliest push daggers than many would think. One of the earliest names for these push daggers/spikes was "Gimlet Knife", due to them looking like the boring tool.
