I call it an art deco folder. Blade is 3-5/8 inches long, .105 thick, and 3/8 wide at the widest point made of Delbert Ealy new turkish twist damascus. Double flat ground and single edged. This new pattern is much tighter than the older one. The blade also folds completely into the handle.

Front and rear bolsters are mirror polished nickel silver and the scales are goldlip pearl. It's not easy to see in the pictures but the front bolsters and pearl scales have been contoured so there is a flat in the center and a slant on the sides, so each handle of the knife has 3 sides.

Fully fileworked backbar, screws and liners. Liners have been anodized purple and gold, purple for the cutouts and gold/bronze for the flats.

Thumbstud is 14k gold with inlaid faceted 2.5mm garnet.

Overall length is 8-1/4inches, 3/8 of an inch thick.

Thanks for looking,
Chuck

What a cool design! Really think you do some fabulous work. Keep showing 'em to us! :)

Really nice!
You turn out some really great folders, I'm always impressed by the amount of detail you put into each one. The filework really tops it off, I try to do quite a bit on everyknife too and don't know how you have the patience to do a backspacer that plays off the liners everytime.
One thing though, have you ever tought about pinning the bolsters or screwing them on from the inside of the liners? I see that you do a hidden pivot bolt right now, so you probably want to be able to remove the bolster to adjust it. The two screws just don't really do that polished bolster justice if you ask me. Maybe if you came up with a custom pivot bolt you you would only have to have one screw showing on one side  I've always thought the ones with a torx screw in one side and a domed end on the other looked pretty slick if you countersink them right. I don't think it matters as much on your knives with damascus bolsters, but the screws seem to stand out more with this finish.I haven't been able to work it all out on my folders yet, but your working with a lot more precision than me so I'm sure you can.
Just a thought, I really like this knife anyway.

thats a brilliant design, and the thumb screw with the jewel really stands out despite the small size. i love it!!!

great work indeed.

Beautiful Chuck! You are getting better and better. Did you know that the closed profile looks kind of like a railroad spike?

Your designs really are getting more and more refined, and intricate..., that is just a fantastic job. Thanks for the pictures and detail...
