put a patina on my bilton today.

today i put a white vinegar patina on my bilton. but now it is dull as a butter knife, is that normal? anyone know a person who can sharpen for me,besides richard J, who is not avail. due to health reasons.
 
Yep. That's normal.
Can't help with a sharpening contact since I do my knifes myself.
Maybe you would like to learn it too?
 
I know I would. Can't seem to sharpen like I used to. Sometimes I get lucky but it's hit and miss.
 
The patina just affected the very very edge of the knife. Shouldn't take long to get it back to original sharpness, just a few swipes on whatever sharpening implement you choose.
