Put in an order for my first custom light

Waiting to hear back from Mac before I purchase and send a money order.

XML 18650 in aluminum with a deep (thrower) head in black ceracoat. I'm also asking that he put a head down pocket clip on mine.

Low ... 19.3 hours @ 42 lumens
Med ... 2.9 hours @ 240 lumens
High ... 62 minutes @ 769 lumens



Any recommendations for highest output/efficiency batteries and charger would be most welcome.

Go over to Candlepower forums for the latest advice. For quite a while the AW and Redilast brands of protected 18650 cells were fan favorites. I believe that 'known good' list has expanded a bit in the last year. As for chargers, I've had the best luck with the Pila IBC charger.

I second the Pila charger, mine has worked great since I got it, I have a couple of the other brands but I prefer the Pila. I also prefer the AW cells, I have some Tenergy and Trustfire cells as well. The Tenergy can be picky about which lights they like although they seem shorter than my other 18650's in the same Mah, the Trustfire work well for the most part. I have not had a single light that did not like the AW cells to this point.

I would get the makers recommendation for cells that perform best in his creation if he has a preference. Looks to be a fantastic light, hope it serves you well.
