Yet another Sheep Skinner, one of my favorite knives, and a Ripper for my mother for Xmas.

After using one of my Green Rivers, Mom uses them exclusively in the kitchen. Now I make another one for her every year either for Xmas, Mother's Day, or her birthday.

Hhhmmm... Those look like they would be fun to make, i might have to buy one of their blanks sometime. I like the look of the butcher blank.

They really are fun to make, and not difficult at all. I don't use cutler's rivets, I just use brass pins and 2 Ton Epoxy.

And despite the modest price of these blades, they are very high quality. They come sharp and can be made razor sharp with little effort, and they hold an edge well. I use a Sheep Skinner for all sorts of things; butchering, skinning, cleaning fish, slicing up food for supper, even for some general bushcraft. The Butcher knife blades are also excellent.
