I would love to see photos of your Douk-Douks! I'd like to see whatever you've got but I'd especially like to see any of the older variants if you've got them.

So far I have 200 mm and 160 mm versions of some of the Douk-Douks, including Le Stylet and a few of Les Chromés: El baraka, Le Tiki, L'Ecureuil. One has a forged stainless Z70 CD15 blade and the rest have forged carbon steel AFNOR XC75 blades.

The Douk-Douk Damas is out of my price range unfortunately but there are a few others that I'd like to add to my collection, including "Le Géant".

Some customized Douk-Douks: http://douk-douk.com/autres/custom.htm

Here's a photo of the damascus Douk-Douk from the manufacturer's page:

Nice Collection! I only have one Douk Douk

I'm interested in some of the variations (especially the Squirrel) but haven't found a source in the U.S. that sells anything other than the basic small and large Douk Douk. It may be that the cost of importing them from a European seller isn't too prohibitive, but I haven't checked into it as yet.

Douk Douks and Opinels are an excellent platform for customizing, especially since they are inexpensive. I've "mangled" Opinels, but since I only have one Douk Douk, it remains stock.

i enjoy the strong snap and stout half stops on these knives

Here's mine...the larger one I purchased in Paris in 1999, the smaller was a gift:

I haven't got one, but perhaps it's about time. Gifted my Mercator K-55 to a friend, and a Douk might be the perfect replacement.
Some nice pics posted so far...

Interesting simple design. I'm assuming it has a back spring hidden in the folded handle....no need for a "rocker" (center) pin. Pretty clever.

They are great knives. Strong back spring, holds up well.

To bad you guys don't use them :) When you do, the get a patina real fast and if polish, the dark etch goes away, but still leaves an etch to the blade. Mine is v-ground, but with only one side sharpened so it's like a modified chisel. Excellent cutter, takes a good edge.

Very nice, I too would like 1 but have been unable to source 1 locally.
