Put your life on the line with Harsey T1 liner lock?

Read a lot of good things about the the large Lone Wolf Harsey. I know the smaller T1 with carbon fiber scales has be available for quit awhile but for some reason I don't remember it being in S30V. At any rate, I'm on the verge of buying one because of that, because I've heard is a very comfortable knife to hold, and because I'm moving to smaller blades (3.2" on the T1). However, I don't really like liner locks very much. Most (but not all) of my knives are Axis lock and lockbacks.

That long winded intro leads to a short question. How is the liner lock on the Harsey T1? Does it seem better than most? Good enough so that one would trust their life with it? May seem like an odd question but lock failure is potentially the most dangerous thing that can happen with a knife (duh). Any input appreciated.

Regards

The liners on the LW Harseys are pretty thick and made of titanium (which is soft and wears faster than steel but is also tougher and has a better "memory").

They are much better than the cheap liner locks that most of the horror stories are inspired by. They are better than most smaller quality liner locks. They are not better, IMO, than the liner locks on other beefy knives like the Strider Bucks, Al Mar SERE 2000, and BM Gravitator (just some examples).

Yes, I would trust the lock, but I would give it some moderate spine wacks first to test the security.

Bill's an impressive individual, and his knife designs are very robust. His designs of the CRK Green Beret and CRK Neil Robert Warrior (Navy Seal knife) have won over the most demanding users on the planet. I have a high opinion in my T3, and would have full confidence in the T1 for what it was designed to do.
