putting a lanyard hole in a benchmade contego?

Has anyone put a lanyard hole in a benchmade contego or another knife that they wanted to put a lanyard on?

I haven't done it myself as I don't care for lanyards, but it's not an uncommon mod. The simplest way to do it is with a vice and a power drill with carbide tip, though it works best with a fixed drill/mill.

I've thought about that on the COntego,, but I'm not sure where you'd put the hole because of the backspacer/pocket clip layout and how the knife is fastened together. Just not enough real estate to do it properly IMO...
